Meet the Photographer
Gelsey is a photographer and dancer based in New England. Her combined knowledge of both studio photography and proper dance technique allows her to capture students at their best and guide them through the photo process in a friendly and age-appropriate manner.
She is a trained studio photographer and has been photographing dance studios and companies for over seven years. In 2018 she studied the Art of Photographing Dance at Jacob's Pillow under Rose Eichenbaum and Whitney Browne.
Gelsey studied dance for fifteen years in the Boston area before attending Vassar College, where she was a member of the Vassar Repertory Dance Theater while receiving her BA in English. She currently dances with Boston-based contemporary group Project31. Gelsey is also a dance instructor and teaches at multiple studios in MA.
